President's Report to the University Senate

Members of the Rutgers Community:

Each fall, the president is invited to make a report to the University Senate on the state of the university and the administration’s plans for the coming year.  Today I submitted this report to the Senate.

In the report, I discuss the progress we have made, some very serious challenges that we must address, and a few key opportunities on the horizon for Rutgers to take a major step forward as an institution.  I encourage you to read the document and I welcome your feedback.

This is an exciting and historic year for Rutgers, and I ask your help in building upon this momentum to help Rutgers become a truly outstanding research university.
